View RecordsFind Louisville, Kentucky DUI-related police records and Jefferson court contacts, with separate routes for incident reports and the case disposition.
For Louisville, Kentucky, begin with the agency that made the arrest and the court named on the citation. Louisville Metro Police Department supplies police reports, while Jefferson court records provide the filed court case route.
An arrest records an enforcement event and allegation. It does not show whether a DUI charge was dismissed, amended, or resulted in a conviction. Use the court disposition rather than an arrest listing when the outcome matters.
LMPD incident report requests use the report number, report date, and victim surname when available. If those fields do not fit the DUI incident, use the police department's report-help route to identify the correct document path. If a report number is unavailable, LMPD provides [email protected] and 502-574-6857 for report assistance.
LMPD's linked report access route uses GovTransfer for online requests. The report-help counter route is at 701 W. Ormsby Avenue, Suite 001, Louisville, KY 40203, with weekday help listed as 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Incident reports cost $2. Online requests use major credit cards and may return a response within 24–72 hours; an unavailable report message does not prove no record exists.
Crash reports require report number/date and driver or owner surname. Access requires the qualified requester categories described by LMPD: a named involved party with required identification, a listed insurer representative, or an attorney representing a listed involved party. Restricted incident reports may also require involved-party identification.
Crash reports cost $10 and use the LMPD request route. Crash reports filed through Kentucky State Police must be requested from KSP. A DUI-related crash record remains a separate police product and does not establish the court outcome.
Use the court named on the citation and retain the case number when requesting outcome information. Jefferson Circuit Court Clerk is the custodian for District and Circuit records. District Criminal/Traffic can be reached at 502-595-3060, Circuit Criminal at 502-595-3009, and Archives/Records at 502-595-3042.
For an accessible offsite file, contact the clerk to identify the storage facility and obtain case or file locator information. Archives requests can use [email protected] or mail to Old Jail Building, 514 W. Liberty St., Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40202. The request form supports in-person, USPS mail, or email delivery choices; confirm the requested document, certification choice, delivery format, and total with the clerk.
Prepare party names, birth dates, charge or case number if known, approximate timeframe, requester contact details, and the requested judgment, disposition, or certified document. The Archives form separates pages, certification, and mailing costs; available payment methods include cash/card, cashier or certified checks, and money orders payable to the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk; personal checks are not accepted.
Online absence does not establish the case outcome. If police and court material differ, compare charge, dates, and case identifiers. Request the later order rather than inferring the outcome from a police narrative.
